What insider tips do our coaches have for the fantasy football tournaments for the next Premier League match day?
The team: Tottenham Hotspurs
Yes Tottenham have to face Man United, but quite apart from the fact that the half team are injured, they will also still be recovering from the European Cup game on Thursday. Mourinho has all but given up on the league title, as was also seen in the match against Arsenal. Tottenham, by contrast, wants and needs to stake its claim to 2nd place and to be ready if Chelsea fail to put the championship in the bag on Friday, hence the Spurs have to win this match. Even though they were surprisingly hammered by the Hammers last weekend, most players are in excellent form and I trust them a lot.
The captain: Lukaku
Here, for me, there’s hardly any way past Lukaku. Yes, other teams also have players who might be quite interesting for the post, like for example Man City with Gabriel Jesus. For me Lukaku is so highly favoured because he is playing in a team where he has the best scoring chances. When ManCity won 5: 0 last week, we saw 5 different scorers, with Everton the goals are generally linked with one name ….
The insider tip: Charlie Daniels
The Burnley defence will probably give him ample opportunity to show his offensive qualities, plus the Cherries still have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet. For me, this is a clear indication to nominate him!
The team: Manchester City
The Skyblues are in good shape for the end-of-season season sprint. The bookmakers also give Manchester City a good chance to qualify for a Champions League place. Pep Guardiola’s team also has the best chances on a three-match match day 37 (1.22 – 5.75 – 13.0).
The Captain: Gabriel Jesus
Jesus, together with Aguero and Lukaku, tops the list of the most likely scorers. This and the fact that Jesus was able to score and/or assist every time he has started for City, makes the captain’s choice easy on this match day. Kevin de Bruyne, however, is also an excellent choice for the DoN tournaments. De Bruyne was the outstanding man of the 36th match day and scored a total of 17 points (Fanteam) with two assists and a goal.
The insider tip: Gylfi Sigurdsson
Swansea, who are in the fight against relegation, play the already-relegated Sunderland. The Welsh will try, with all their might, to end any doubt about their place in the premier league next season. There is no other player amongst the Swans, who has as many goal scoring as the Icelandic national team player, who will probably have a place in just about every team!
The team: Manchester City
Manchester City put in a strong team performance in the last game against Palace and now play away to Leicester, last year’s champions. Pep Guardiola’s team needs a win if they are to stand a chance in the fight for the Champions League places. In addition, the bookmakers are expecting the most goals on this day match with + 74% for over 2.5 goals and these goals should all be scored by players from Man City.
The captain: Diego Costa
All good things come in threes. Last week, he scored, and this week he will be on his way to West Brom to score the goal which delivers Chelsea the Premiership title. For me, this speaks clearly for Chelsea, plus Diego Costa has a 52% chance of scoring on this day.
The insider tip: Junior Stanislas
Some people will be asking themselves who this is 😉 The Englishman was injured for a long time but was finally given a starting place against Stoke in the 2: 2 draw last match day. He justified his place in the line-up with a goal and is also being used for set pieces. Stanislas is a meta-play. I’m assuming that a lot of fantasy players will use Joshua King and I would like to make the most of the nomination of Junior Stanislas to give me a potential advantage.
